My daughter is the one that the girlssare being mean to. It's really one girl who she had a negative encounter with a few years ago. She has rounded up all their mutual friends to be mean to her to as well. My daughter has tried ot talk to the other girls but they won't change. My daughter has made some new friends who are mostly boys. When the main mean girl finds out about any of her new friends, she tries to influence them against her as well. My daughter has given the message, that she hasn't talked about the girl in over a year so why is she still bothering with her....

She is the one being mean or she is being bullied? If she is the mean one then be blunt with her and tell her straight that was mean. In fact if she does not stop be mean to her and ask her how she likes it when the shoe is on the other foot! Once she realises that she is hurting peoples feelings she should stop. If she does not then a short sharp shock of reality is in order. Have a be mean to your daughter hour where the whole family is involved. Being out right rude for an hour is enough to make her think, hang on a minute this is not nice.
