Natalie,

Aren't teenagers great!! I'm not sure what happens to there brains when they hit between 11-25. I swear someing has come into my home and suck thier brains out and replaced them will a smart mouthed, lying child that I don't know or even like....Sweety the only advice I can give you is keep calling her on her garbage and attach punishment on her garbage lay the law down and tell her what the punishment will be in advance and then be consistant with it don't let anything slide not even once...If she doesn't wnat to follow the rules then I would send her to go live with her dad and let her see how bad she has it there you don't have to put up with the abuse from her and no there is no option of her missing out on counceling b/c it sound to me like she needs it something is going on that she feels like she needs to spread lies to make herself feel better...Good luck and I will keep both of you in my prayers...

Natalie, I know juat how bad teenage daughters can be. I have actually blocked my daughter from my Facebook after she started defaming me for reporting one of her friends to the police for threatening to assualt me. My daughte has got involved with drugs and has damaged my house and physically attacked me. She will not go to rehab or counselling so I have now said that until she does go I will have nothing to do with her. This all started as her father was dying, when she was 15yrs. She was jealous that he was getting qall the attention and not her. My priorities are now to have a good relationship with my son and to keep him safe from her. We have given her so many chances and she just threw them away. It's hard, you feel cruel, and even may hate yourself for a while, but the peace that I now have at home and the fun times I have with my son are so valuable. There is actually laughter in our house. Sometimes these kids just have to make some bad decisions, and as long as they are reasonably safe it's okay. I have told my daughter that my door will always be open, in times f emergency, but on my terms. I know about struggling to keep a roof over your head. My son and I now go through the bills as they come in and work out which ones can be held off for a while, which need to be paid and how that affects the food bill for the fortnight. I figure that he might as well leasrn now about real life. He is now talking about getting a part time job to help out. I know in Australia, there are so many organisstions for young kids that they are really well looked after, however for us, we seem to be the forgotten survivors.

She maybe venting to her friends on FB. You could try the counseling without her to get the support you need. It sounds like you are doing what you can right now. Good Luck!!
