Hi pretty ladies! I'm just getting started with the facebook communities so Circle of Moms is my 1st. I have 2 daughters - Sami who's a freshman and Peyton who just started kindergarten. I'm also probably one of the younger moms in the group of "moms w/teens". I had Sami when I was 18. I don't know about others but this is like having a new child that you can't exactly train! LOL The "problems" & "drama" is completely different than when she was younger and I have to be honest - I HATE IT! I wish kids this age were as forgiving & soft natured as when they were younger. It'd make all the other changes a lot easier to handle. Grades, boys, friends, it's all co-mingled together & if one fails, the others seem to follow suit at least a little bit. Can I just go on vacation & come back on graduation day??? LOL Thanks for letting me ramble.

girl I am right there with you. I thought I was the only one. I have two boys one is in the 11th grade and the other is in the 2nd grade. I had Tyler at 19 and believe me it is living on two different planets. haha and I am somewhere floating out in outerspace. haha They are great but ssoooo different,temperments,personalities,everything....Let me go with you on vacation!!!!!

Hi Kim! You make me glad I only have my one son! It does seem to be harder to have a teen-aged girl than a boy. My son is 16 and we definitely have our moments, but there's none of the relationship angst that troubles so many girls. From what I can tell many girls do settle a bit more as they get in upper years of high school, all that trauma seems to reach its height in middle school. I'm sure another mother of girls might say I'm crazy for thinking that!
