My 14yr old daughter loves watching horror movies, and she has already watched a LOT of horror movies (alone, with her friends of with me), I'd assume around 50. She is a big fan of them and does not get scared. I don't see an issue with her interest in them, especially that she mostly watched classics and non gory movies, and is focused on the cinematography aspect as she wants to be a filmmaker. However, other parents have countlessly criticised me for allowing this, what do you think I should do?

I do not see a problem. I love a good horror movie, and have been that way since age 12. I turned out OK (at least I hope I did)! This depends on her maturity level, and the ability to keep reality from fiction. But on the surface, no, I don't see this as an issue.

As to the other parents, I'd tell them to F*Off....your daughter and your decision. If they want to pamper their children from society, good luck - even if you did not permit your daughter to watch these, she would find a way at her age.

But again, I don't see anything wrong with this. Just because someone likes a certain genre of movie should not label them.

Why would it be a problem? What others think dosent matter if your happy she watches then all is good.you know your daughter no one else does you know if she can deal with the films or not.
If others criticise then they obviously have nothing better to do than poke there noses into your business. You’d think they’d have better things to do than criticising while there own little savages are probably having sex behind the bike shed.
