Need opinions!! In about a week we are planning on taking our soon to be 5 year old to Disneyland for her birthday. My husband and I are unsure about what to do with our 15 year old. Right now he has 3 F's and the rest B's. Hes had those F's since almost the beggining of the school year and just seems not to care and is lazy. Doesn't tun in class work or homework. we've been trying to help him raise those grades and spoke with all his teachers but nothing.... He's been able to go to other fun school events (dances and games)

We are not sure if we should take him or not. We are going on a weekday so he would have to miss school. What would you guys do in this situatuion????

Perhaps you could discuss those Fs with him, especially since he's had them since the beginning of the school year. Is he having trouble with the subjects? The Bs he's received are quite commendable. It shows that he is quite capable. So have a discussion with him.

You've allowed him to attend other school fun events in spite of his low grades in the three subjects so to not allow him to go to Disneyland really is not consistent. However, it falls on a school day so based on that I would say that he should attend school.

So you have allowed him to continue to do the fun things such as the danced and games and events? Why? He should have to earn the right to go to them by having passing grades. Disney is fun---send him to school.

On the other side of the coin---is he having issues with the material he is learning? Is he having issues that you have not discussed with him yet? Have you asked him about it?

Worried that you judge others as normal or not just because they don’t agree with you. Not a NORMAL way to judge anyone normally as most adults accept that everyone is entitled to there opinion and ways and to not try to dictate to others.

As the saying is “just because you don’t do something yourself it dosent make it wrong nor does it mean it dosent work” a very simple fact in life
