i have a 14 month old son and checked out this site because of how often we are told how smart our son is. i have tried not to push him because i am afraid i overvalue intelligence. so i have appreciated the comments about following your child's lead, trying to alleviate boredom, and just letting them explore their curiosities. i needed some reinforcement. i have recently been thinking about sending him to preschool earlier than i had planned for the diversity and interaction--he's an only child and loves to be around other kids. so anyway, i just wanted to say thanks. i'm sure i'll be checking back in for more insights.
