My husband and I have one child that I actually got pregnant with while on birth control. Last April we found out that I was pregnant again. we were so excited, but then in May I had a miscarriage. We have been trying since July to conceive, but have had no luck. last week I went to my doctor to see if there is something wrong with me. I found out that I am not ovulating. I was devastated, how can I so easily become pregnant and now not be able too! I have just started a cycle of clomid and am really hoping that this works for us. Is there anyone else who is having problems or do you have any advice to help us through this trying time?

My husband and I have one daughter. I have had 3 miscarriages since January 2008 and just started to see a reproductive endocrinologist. I so desire to have another child that at this time I am extremely jealous of my sister in law and all of my friends who are pregnant. I am hoping and praying that this doctor can help me sustain another pregnancy. Right now the doctor has me on progesterone because my estrogen and progesterone levels are low. Next month the doctor is going to put me on clomid. Please send me some baby dust as I do you.

A good website to help understand and keep track of your charting is www.fertilityfriend.com You can use it free or pay a small amount and it will show a lot of interpretations and other useful things. I love it. I used it for the conception
of my son and using it again now.
Good Luck!!

I have not kept track of my basal temp. I just figured if it took over a year I would go to the doctor and see, but then my periods were getting extremely irregular, so I went in to get checked out. We did not do any other tests, besides a blood test to check my thyroid and my hormone levels. She put me on clomid and said that this will at least help to get thins going again. Hopefully this will work for us! Hopefully it will give my body a little jump start and things will start up again! I think I will pick up that fertility book as well, just to understand it all a little better. Thanks for the help

Kim,

Are you charting your Basal temp? This is a very helpful (and empowering) tool to find out what your body is or isn't doing. Clomid may or may not work depending on the root of the problem of why you are not ovulating (PCOS, blockage, pre-menopausal etc).

A book you may want to pick up is Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Great book and it comes with a cycle charting progam and on-line support (tcoyf.com).

I have a 4 yr. old and TTC for 3 years. RE docs were not helpful (they just wanted to immediately go to ART) so I went the accupuncture route. Another great book about accupunture if you are interested is the Fertile Soul. It is written by a Western doctore who practices fertility accupunture.

This may be a journey so be patient and get as much info as you can. Good luck.
