So i had my mirena taken out in February. Ever since i had my son, my cycles have been really irregular. Before i had my son they came pretty regular. We are trying to get pregnant with our second baby. We are trying for a girl. This has been the last several months of my cycles

January: no period
Feb: 34 days apart had my mirena taken out on the 17th 4 days later i bled for 3 days
march: 35 days apart
april: 29 days apart
may: 35 days apart
June: 27 days apart
july: 12 days apart
august: 31 days apart

and here it is september 2nd and i havent gotten af yet. Just some mild cramping but no bleeding. Oh and my boobs have been hurting for over a week now. I have had a bad taste in my mouth and i have been tired. We did the baby dance 4 days before i think i ovulated. I dont want to take a test because i dont want to be disappointed but i dont want to wait.
What do you ladies think?
I dont know what to do.

Are you charting your BBT, CM, CP, etc? I found temperature charting in conjunction with OPKs very useful to determine ovulation and to determine timing. I had irregular cycles for over a year while I was breastfeeding. Once I weaned, my cycles were still a little irregular, and I started using OPK, then I conceived within 3 cycles.

take the test to relieve your mind. if you don't, you will drive yourself crazy thinking about it. my cycles have also varied between 28 and 35 (only this time it was 39!). i have been taking pregnancy tests since may and they've all been negative. we are also trying for a girl. it hurts to be disappointed but then you have to pick yourself up and make your next move. my next move was to go to an OB and get checked out. turns out that i haven't been ovulating. your irregular cycles are probably just the result of your body trying to adjust to being off the mirena. i'd get checked out too, just to make sure your hormones are the right levels. it's not a waste of time if it eases your mind and helps you learn more about your body at the same time!
