Is anyone else pregnant with their second child and just exausted all the time

I'm 13weeks gone, have an 18month old and I work 5 or 6 days a week, beteen 5 and 8hours a day and I have 4hours of travelling to get there and back! I am exhausted!!! xx

I am definitely with you in the tired department. I'm 34 weeks and I have a 20 month old son who is on the go non-stop. I did find out that I was anemic when they finally did the glucose tolerance/gestational diabetes test. Now that I know that, my doctor has prescribed iron for me and I do feel quite a bit better than I used to. Maybe ask your doctor...that could be part of the problem for you as well. I know most of the problem is just being so constantly on the go while your body is trying to create this new little one at the same time though.

Yes I feel the same way. I'm 30 weeks along and the fatigue was terrible in the first trimester, but I feel like I never came back from it as they say you do in the 2nd trimester. It is extremely hot where I live right now and I feel like a big lifeless blob. So I'm hot, sweating profusely, and I am so tired. I feel bad for my daughter cuz I can't bend and run around with her. I just want to sleep, but I have to force myself to do what I have to do. :-(

i was exhausted throw out most of 2nd pregnancy my son was only 6months when i fell again so its been pretty full on

yeah I'm 13 weeks with my second and I have a 2 1/2 year old, very active little boy! He does still take naps (only cause I make him), so I am able to get some sleep. But there are some days that I just cannot fall asleep while he is napping. Then some days I get up ridiculously early and can't sleep well at night. So I totally understand what you ladies are going through!! Get as much rest as you can ladies!

well i am 10 weeks wiith my second and have a 2 year old who doesn't nap but that is just because she doesn't like to sleep and fights and just like with my first pregnancy i am always tired but never able to sleep. been up today since 4 (woke up sick) and now that that is getting better it almost time for the two year old to wake up and we are going to a waterpark later with daycare so wish me luck.

I'm pregnant with my second too. I have a two year old daughter and she wears me out! After the cooking and picking up after her and so on i just wanna pass out. I am 25 weeks but i know that it will be double trouble once my son is born so i consider this the good days! lol Good luck!

I know how you feel. I could fall asleep any moment. And I have a 5 month old and I am 13 weeks along. I'm soo glad he usually takes naps but still I usually clean or something lol.

I am 13 weeks along and I have a 15 month old son. I am exhausted all the time. My son doesn't sleep well at night and I usually don't get time for a nap. I come home from work and just sit down. I can't clean much of the house cause I'm so tired.

I am almost 8 weeks and have a very active 2 yr old But this pregnancy is very different than the first one in GOOD ways and BAD ways ....I had terrible morning sickness with my 1st but this time so far I have not had any morning sickness at all .... but this time I do not get sleep well at all I am constantly TIRED ...With my 1st I slept Excellent the whole time up until the last night before delivery....It is crazy how pregnancies can be so much different GOOD LUCK TO ALL MOMS EXPECTING!!!!!

I'm pretty much always tired myself. I have a 3 1/2 year old and I'm just about 22 weeks now... plus I work full-time. All I ever want to do when I get home is crash. So I completely understand how you feel!

yes!! I am purely exhausted!

I have a 3 year old daughter and I am just shy of 16 weeks pregnant with our second. I work 45-50 hrs a week, and when I come home I am the one who does all the laundry and all the cleaning and all that fun stuff. I have Saturdays and Sundays off. I cn barely make it through the day...by like 1:00 in the afternoon I am completely drained and it is SOOOO hard to work through it. I think my only thing that saves me is that my in-laws take my 3 year old every friday night for an overnighter until like 2 or 3 on Saturday. So since I have Saturday off I use Friday night into Saturday as my sleep catch-all. I usually end up sleeping until about a half hour before they drop my daughter back off.

My advice would be to ask (if you have that type of support close to you) a relative to see if they would be willng to take your daughter over night once and awhile. Trust me it helps! Other than that its just a matter of getting used to no sleep.

With my second I was tired a lot, but I went to school then. I am pregnant with the third and it isn't as bad since I stay here and take care of the kids all day. I will be 19 weeks Sunday.

I'm 25 weeks along today with my 3rd and i'm exhausted all the time. Hubby and i went out for our anniversary last night, stayed up late and today i feel the side effects of that.
I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. I think we're just more tired b/c we have to take care of a other child/children.

hey i am 35 weeks pregnant and a mother of a 19 month old who is going thru the no nap stage.....i can understand how you feel one hundred percent....i am constantly exhausted and the sad thing is the daddy never seems to understand that!!! Vitamins dont really do much for me i tested it out taking them and seeing if i had more energy and i didnt!! Try to get some rest now cuz the third trimester sucks (i get no sleep)

Hi im 36wks pregnant and have a 5yr old son who is at school, i felt v tired through my 2nd trimester and i felt i couldn't do much i felt sorry for my son who i couldn't do much with him and still cant do much, 3rd trimester u will feel more tired as u will have an uncomfortable sleep. I try taking a nap wen my son at school do a little every day in and around the house to keep on top of things, some days u may be bursting with energy and others not. I have 2wks left b4 i get started off and cant wait as the extra weight u really feel it wen u have an energetic child running round ur feet. If u have a close family c if they could help out take ur daughter out while u have a nap.

i am due in 3 wks and im fine now to b honest. there were days when i didnt know what to do with my 15months old sons energy :D but i keep telling myself that the real challenge is still to come so heads up ladies :)

I wish I could relate I have a very active daughter who will be 16 months on sunday who no longer naps but sleeps about 12 hours a night (which does not help me because I clean after she goes to bed so I get maybe 6 hours or so after all the tossing and turning) and I am going to be 32 wks tomorrow but I have energy galore I could try to lend you all some lol

same here. I'm 20 weeks along and my son is 15 months. I have had every pregnancy symptom to boot and the nausea and fatigue have only gotten worse as I get farther in this pregnancy. Chin up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Oh am I ever TIRED all the time! I am 37weeks now with our second, and my son just turned 18months recently! I've been exhausted and ready to call it a day by noon most days for months! My son also doesn't like to nap at all anymore, and sleeps, if I am lucky, 10hours a night! It is normal, especially when you have other children, to get tired quicker than usual when you are pregnant!

Yea. Am due in three weeks and I have a three year old but can barely get up in the mornings. My 3year old is a morning person and is at my door everyday before 7a.m saying ''Mommy I have woken up;now what do I do?'' I just want to sleep all day and can hardly keep my eyes open at work when it gets to 3pm.

I am right there with you. I am 23 weeks and my son will be 1 in a week and a half. I am so tired all the time and my boy doesn't take but one 1/2 hour nap a day and still wakes up a couple times a night. Maybe once a week (when he sees that I am laying on the couch practically comatose) my husband offers to watch the baby so I can get "me time" - which means I go take a nap :) We are trying to work out a way that he can do this on a more regular basis because it helps to have a good nap.

i got 11weeks left and a 3yr old and man i am so tired. He is at daycare full time but it doesnt seem to matter how much sleep i get it just isnt enough. I work 2days a week, have my son after daycare and the house to look after too... so j\yeah im doing the normal motherly duties we all do and all i wanna do is sleep.
Hubby helps but it just doesnt cut it its like i need to be in bed 24/7

I am right there with you ladies! I am almost 15 wks and have a 19 month old and if I don't get my nap, I am a wreck by the end of the day. But now the insomnia is starting, so I'm exhausted and can't sleep.

i only just found out i am expecting another bub, (like barely 4 weeks) and i have a 2yr old, and all i want to do is sleep.. I hope u feel like u have gotten some some sleep soon

Well I am barely about 6 weeks and my baby girl is 11 months! I don't feel it too much right now, but bless your heart for doing your best. Once the baby comes I am sure that you will get a ton of energy back. Just take it easy!

i totally feel you on the tiredness. im 19 weeks along today and i have a 3 year old running around. and on top of all of it im preparing for my new move to texas from germany. My daughter no longer takes naps and i really dont get a break due to my husband being military and his constant work sched. if there isnt something to be cleaning up in my house, or our puppy needing to be taken outside or making phone calls to people to get our move ready its just an everyday task. im starting to get my energy back up but slowly. i wish you the best with everything when is your due date?
