My baby doesnt move alot please help

Hi,
I had my 4th baby almost 3 months ago and I was a bit like you. Bubs wasnt moving round alot at one stage so I went to the hospital and got monitered. It turned out that baby was actually moving around quite a lot but I just couldnt feel him because of the position he was in. My midwife told me to lay down in a quiet room for 10 minutes to half an hour with my hand on my stomach and that I should be able to feel at least 5 kicks. She also suggested the cold drink too. If you still have concerns go and get a foetal monitor put on. It doesnt hurt to be careful and the midwifes/doctors etc are there to help, thats what they get paid for. Have they told you where the placenta is? If its in the front, you won't feel much. I didn't feel much with my 1st until he got really big. But I agree that you may want to talk to your dr. Just in case.

my doctor always told me that after i initially started feeling movement with my son, that if for some reason, i didn't feel him move as i felt was normal, to go to the hospital. better to be safe than sorry.

Have tried doing fetal kick counts? I had to do them all the time with my daughter as she didn't move very much either (my mum said I was the same - always scaring her) Have a big drink of icy cold water and something to eat (if your hungry bub wont move - dont know why but its my midwfie told me) then lay donw and relax within about 1/2 hr to an hour bub should start to move you should 10 kicks within the next hour. If your not getting ten Kicks then have a chat to your doc/midwife. You may just have a very chilled relaxed bub (my daughter has always been the best sleeper, never done the whole "I'm gonna cry all night and keep mummy up all hours" so maybe you'll have a great sleeper too!)

try drinking something cold. Every pregnancy & baby is different. My son was very active early one, but this pesgnancy with my daughter she didn't start moving until much later around 5 months. Now I am 8 months & she kicks the crap out of me all the time!!!

they sleep very soundly in there, it's all nice and warm, and dark and cozy, cozy, cozy, and all that muffled white noise, it's nice in there. you'll feel him move around more in a bit of time and then at the end, he'll run out of room to move around.

Sometimes you may not feel the movements because you are stressed or busy. Other times your placenta may be up front so you don't feel many movements. I am 34 weeks with my second baby & he doesn't move much at all compared to my first! I find i get most of my movements at night when i relax on the couch, you could try having some cold fizzy drink, that sometimes wakes my bub up. I'm sure everything will be just fine but if you are really concerned speak to the person taking care of your pregnancy (midwife etc)
