Positive blood test but Negative urine tests ???

I am kind of in the same boat. I went in Nov 15th to sign final paperwork to get my tubes tied and the Doctor notified me that bloodowork they did back on Nov 1st showed me as positive for Pregnancy. I was on my period when that bloodwork was taken and we have been using condoms. I am very confused as to what happened lol. I did a Pee test Nov 16th and it came back negative. So am I pregnant or what...did the hospital make a mistake?

To know for sure get a second opinion! It may be in your head if you REALLY want another baby. Other wise you could have had an early miscarriage. HOWEVER, if it's been 3 weeks since she said there were no signs of pregnancy, you could now be pregnant (could have gotten pregnant after the ultra sound etc).

i know that you think you still might be pregnant but i had a missed miscariage in march, i had a slight brown discharge but that was all i had bad sickness to and because of your hormone levels it can take about 2-3 weeks to go.you said that you had an untrasound and nothing maybe the sack has already gone maybe that's why your bleeding a normal m/c. i know it's hard my baby's heart was not beating from 6 weeks on but it took another 6 weeks of test and blood test to realise it was a missed miscariage and had to have a D/C at 3 months. i am now pregnant again and am 4 months but still scared because i bleeding on and of for the first 3 months. but every scan said there was a heartbeat this time from as early as 5 1/2 weeks so i understand why you can't get excited because i still can't but good luck and i know we all just want that baby in our arms.

With my son I had like 10 negative urine tests as well. But the blood test was positive and those are to most accurate.
I had my daughter January 2006, miscarried, very early in sept. 2007, then again very early miscarriage Oct. 2008, and conceived my son Sept. 2009, he is now a very healthy 11 week old baby boy. It will be hard for you most likely until you hear babies heart beat, that didn't even do it for me, I wasn't fully ok, until we went for the ultra sound to find out the sex and once I could feel him kick. Also, I afraid to be excited about it because I was also on progesterone because I was not ovulating so to me being pregnant was a HUGE mystery with the 2 previous miscarriages and being on progesterone (your not supposed to be able to get pregnant on that). You are pregnant hun! Congrats and relax. Take care of yourself!

Well i went to the doctor and she did more blood tests and an ultrasound because I started to bleed and she told me there was no sign of pregnancy so she thought it was a false positive or an early miscarriage but now 3 weeks later my pregnancy symptoms have only gotten stronger and my tummy pudging more....called the doctor and she acted like I was crazy and couldnt be having symptoms b/c I was absolutely not pregnant ....!!! Is there any way that I could really be pregnant????? I dont know what to do anymore!!! Is it all in my head???

i had a friend who had all negative urine tests a negative blood test then a positive blood test and no she didnt fall in between the 2 tests. they say blood tests are far more accurate then urine tests

trust the blood test. if it says your peregnant then 95% of the time you pregnant they are more reliable but in a few weeks you should be having an appointment that will let you hear the heart beat. if you are still not sure

I agree with what the other ladies are saying. I had a pee test come back positive once and when they tested my blood it was negitive (at the time it was a huge relief) so in my opion the blood does not lie. Good luck! Let us know what the ultrasound says.

Urine tests are never as accurate as blood tests. Trust the blood test. I had a blood tests tell me that I was pregnant when I was only 4 weeks!

At 7 weeks there may not be enough hcg in your urine to register on a urine pregnancy test. Blood tests are much more reliable. If you are worried, have another blood test taken to see what the levels are, your levels go up rapidly in the 1st trimester.
