Potty Training!

what worked for us was a dvd/book combo and rewards. i played the dvd while i fed her breakfast at the same time everyday while i also loaded her up w/liquids and when she used the potty she got one Hershey's kiss, two for poop. and PRAISE! PRAISE! PRAISE! when she used the potty.

the trick is to keep the subject a hot topic ("nanna uses the potty", etc.) but don't pressure or punish. i also kept the potty training to mornings/early afternoons, that way she wasn't too pressured, she could bask in her successes and i wasn't giving her chocolates all day long. later on when she did potty in the afternoon and night, i gave her a sticker.

a Swiffer Wet Jet and a can of foam carpet cleaner are great ideas as well for clean up.

My daughter is 2 and she wants nothing to do with the potty! I am at a loss. We have tried extreme praise, bribing her. She is to busy to stop what she is doing to go potty. Maybe I should get her some underwear, or let her be naked. I am having baby #2 in 7 weeks, and would love for her to be some what potty trained.

i having the problem my son dont ask to use the potty , i encougage him to ask it got pull up and told him a big now he still dont ask what can i do

I let my daughter run around naked all day lol and it worked, at 18months she was fully trained. Just keep asking her every half hour or so if she has to pee pee, and everytime she goes in potty, way over exagerate the praise, she will get very excited

I dont know all the details on how parent or the style you had started with potty training. But what i did and it tood 2 days then my daughter had the hang of it day and night. fully potty trained for 4 months now. We got up one morning I hanged her pull-up like any morning then didnt putt one back on her i showed her big girl panties and showed her mine and putt them on her. Then we gathered all the pull ups together and put then in the trash. I would keep telling her to tell mommy when you need to go potty .. keep your panties dry... your such a big girl...mommies so proud of you.. over and over never letting her go 2 minutes without being reminded. We didnt leave the house for a week and just stayed home and did everything together and when they start to go run to the bathroom and place her on the potty so they can understand thats where they should go.
