Sleeping in crib at night

My son just started sleeping in his crib about 2 1/2 weeks ago. What age is your child start sleeping on their own? What method did you use?

My oldest was transitioned from a bassinet to her crib before 2 months old so she didn't know any difference really. My two youngest slept in a moses basket inside the crib and when they got too big for the moses basket went right to just the crib so they also didn't know anything different. Makes things very easy that way.

first month was next to me in a bassinet then he was in his own cot from them onwards. Hewas young when i did it so i never really had problems with him settling as he had never slept next to me at night time.

My daughter has slept in her crib since the day we brought her home from the hospital. For the first 6 months the crib was in our bedroom. She transitioned well to her own room.

My b/g twins have been sleeping in their cribs since they were about 3 months old.

My daughter transitioned from co-sleeping to crib at about 6 months old. We tried earlier but she resisted so I didn't push it... eventually I started putting her in her crib for the first half of the night and then putting her back in our bed at her first feeding, then she started sleeping in her crib until the second feeding, and so on until I just brought her in our bed for cuddle time in the morning. We still do that- I think when it comes to co-sleeping, I miss her more than she misses me. :)
