I am 7.5 months pregnant and I find my feet swelling a lot! I asked my doc and she said it was completely normal and not to worry. I cannot help but worry because I did not get this during my first pregnancy. I put my feet up at work and then at night when I sleep I have 2 pillows under my feet but still when I wake up they are swollen (especially my right leg). Does anyone have advice for this?

I have this same problem and my doctor told me to try to stay away from shoes! Sandals and flip flops are good! One this that feels great for me is to take a rice bag from the freezer and lay it on top of my feet and ankles!

Thanks ladies I will give it a try. The did do all the BP checks and everything so I don't know what it up.

did they check your blood pressure and run your urine for protien traces? it probably is normal but you want to make sure cuz it could be high bp. but yes either way if you cake get to a pool or a lake and sit neck deep in the water (everything but your head really!) then all the water your body is holding onto is pushed back into your blood stream and back into your kidneys and bladder. my specialty doc told me this trick. he said you would be amazed you'll have to pee when you get out. sit in there for 20 minutes, good luck and let me know if this helps

If your doctor says that it's nothing to worry about, I wouldn't worry about it. A couple things that might help, though, is to watch your sodium intake and make sure you drink lots of water. Keep elevating your legs when possible, as well. Good luck... not much longer left!!!
