Toddler jumping/pushing on belly

So my daughter is 19 months and she's constantly jumping on my belly or pushing on it. She doesn't do it on purpose, she's just used to climbing on me when I'm laying on the couch etc. Anyway I try and stop her, but sometimes there’s no warning before she does it. Sometime's it hurts and sometimes it's just uncomfortable. I have a doctors appt next week and I will ask her, but I was wondering if anyone knows if she could hurt the baby or make me miscarry? Any thoughts??

I think it's probably more uncomfortable for you than the baby. My 2yr old daughter does this too. She wants to hug the baby and cuddle with the baby, and in the process my poor belly gets a bit of a beating! It's hard to teach a 2yr old what "gentle" really means. The other day she ran at me for a hug and her elbow rammed into my stomach and that was really painful. My Dr says that not much can hurt the baby since they're cushioned by so many layers and floating around in water. Liquids supposedly absorb shock really well! So, don't worry too much ( but if you're anything like me you will anyways!!) Hopefully we can mange to teach them to be gentle once the baby gets here! That's what really scares me!
