Hello,

I am on CD#14 and have been testing for ovulation everyday. I have been negative so far and wondering when is it to late this month? My period is due in 12 day!

Thanks everyone!

My periods are every 30 days... I found out that i Ovulated 6 days before my period was due!!! I'm now 23 weeks pregnant!!!! Its not an exact science, half the women population ovulate around day 14 after the first day of their last period but there are few that ovulate a lot later... and like my friend, neg ovulation tests as she only takes a couple of hours to ovulate, Hospital tests confirmed she ovulates but doesnt produce enough hormone for the home test to pick up... Good luck xx

You will always bleed 14 days after you ovulate. So if you are due to bleed in 12 days then you've missed your window. If you know exactly when you will bleed then you need to have sex days 16-15 before menstruation. Sperm lives longer than the egg so if it's in there before the egg is released you have a higher chance to conceive.

My periods have always been irregular, but for me I can always tell when I'm ovulating so I know to expect my period 14 days later. That's how I knew I was pregnant this time, because one night we did it, the next day I unexpectedly ovulated, but 2 weeks later my period didn't come. I can tell I'm ovulating because I have a change in discharge, it gets thick and mucousy for a brief time during ovulation day. It's not as obvious for all women. I was told the method to find out was to put your fingers in there and get some discharge and between two fingers see if it stretches. It will only do this on ovulation day.

Goodluck:)

Oops, forgot to say that for some unlucky women they actually ovulate while they are menstruating. I read that somewhere. When I was a teenager I suspect this happened to me at least once because I had a period 2 weeks after the period before it, but then I could go another 6 months without a period. I was very irregular back then. So if you have regular periods it will be easier to find out when you ovulate but it may depend on how familiar you are with your body (whether you notice the natural signs of ovulation).

your ovulation window may be shorter than 24 hours, so I would test twice a day around the time when you would expect to ovulate, the day of and a few days before and after. Also, you are better off having sex a day or two (or both) before you ovulate.

I used an ovulation calendar online to chart my cervical mucus and ovulation cramps (I always have ovulation cramps so it's pretty easy to pinpoint my O date). This time I O'd late CD 16, I'm usually the 24-26 day cycles, with 13 days from O to AF. I had some stress that made me O late. I too usually get pregnant the first try too! Even if you don't get a positive, feel free to BD every other day or so too just in case it's wrong.

When I tried to get pregnant with our second child, I used an online ovulation calander and helped a lot. The site is www.mymonthlycycles.com Great tool to use and it calculates everything for you. All you gotta do is ounch in your las period and how many days you have in a cycle. Most of the time women have 28 day cycles wich means you should be more fertile on day 14 (counting form the 1st day of your period). Good Luck :)

Are your periods regular? If they do come every 28 days then you're most like the most fertile around 14 days after the 1st day of your period...

Try this out, this is how i found my most fertile days and i got pregnant the first month with my 3rd child. I'm now 13 weeks along:
