My daughter has esotropia in her right eye, and goes in this Thursday for her corrective surgery. I was just wondering if anyone has been through this. She is 16 months old, and i am VERY nervous!

She was just shy of 16 months when she had her surgery, and now she is 21 months.

Hi Tiffany! It's nice to know that your daughter is doing great. May I know how old was she when she had her surgery? How old is she now? Thanks Tiffany.

Hi Cherryl! That's too bad it just breaks my heart to see these poor babies having to go through this! My daughter had her surgery and everything went as planned. She does have a "scar" in her eye where you can see the incision, but other then that she is doing great! She does have a slight turning again of her right eye, but they think it will work itself out, if not they will do glasses when she is older. I hope everything turns out okay with your daughter! Hi Tiffany! I am Cherryl from the Philippines. My daughter was diagnosed with congenital esotropia when she was about 5 months old. She had her first surgery Feb. of this year ( she was 13 month old then). However, she started alternating again 2 months after her surgery. She is suppose to wear glasses and do patching for 30 minutes. I can not do any of the two to her. She screams and takes the glasses off. I am very frustrated and worried as she might be a candidate again for another surgery. May I ask how your daughter is? Thanks.
