Hi All
I was advised to give creon to my newborn with expressed breast milk in a spoon. Which is quite a feat. Previously there was one mom who fed apple sauce with the creon. Has anyone else done something different.
looking for easy options so i don't have to walk around with a cooler box (for the breast milk) when i go out.

When my son was little, I used to just pour the enzymes right on his tongue and then use some expressed breast milk in a syringe to wash it down. Worked like a charm!

its such a small amount of applesauce it doesnt affect the babys tummy we were told to do that too which we did the acid in the apple sauce helps the creon work better infact

our doctors told us to use applesauce so we bought the little baby jar applesauce. we were even given a pamphlet on the medicine from the doctors that said to use applesauce.

hi i know this is a very late reply but just incase anyone else reads this i was told you had to give it with apple puree as theres something in it that doesn't let the creon dissolve or digest quickly so that its still working as your baby is having a bottle! that was just what i was told by the doctors and my little boy has been on apple puree since he was 6 weeks it also helps him to swallow it properly so that he doesnt have a build up in his mouth andyou only have to give them one little spoonful which wont harm them! i use cow and gate apple puree but you could always make your own too! as i said i know this is late but it always helps others too! as i know what it is like being confused and constantly lookin at forums to see what others are doing ha! take care xxx

I thought babies stomaches weren't developed enough for solid food before at least 4 months? Doctor has said i can also use cooled boiled water to help the medicine go down. Has been working a gem. I think i shall wait until she is going onto soids before trying the apple sauce suggestion. Thanks very much all

My little boy is taking creon and the hospital gives it to him with applesause as well. It seems to work really well.
