Summer is around corner meaning summer vacation for some/ most of your children is close. What kinds of activities do you give your children to keep them learning over summer and prepared for the upcoming school year? Do you enroll them in summer school, day camps, library, summer reading clubs, etc.? Do you take them out on educational outings, such as a museum, zoo, aquarium, nature walk/ hike? Do you buy them educational video games? Please share and discuss your favorite educational, fun summer activities.

My daughter is about 3 years old and we YouTube fun little videos that she can watch and sing along to. It makes learning fun and visual. We found this cute little online preschool called CHALK Preschool that posts YouTube videos teaching the days of the week and months in the year and my daughter hasn't stopped singing them since! I really recommend them! Just type CHALK preschool into YouTube and you should be able to find them. Hope that helps!

I love nature and summer is the best time to spend time outdoor with the kids. It is always a learning lesson for the kids by simply exploring gardens and parks. Take a look at our learning lesson in http://www.kids-activities-learning-game... under summer activities and garden activities for kids.

My daughter just finished Kindergarten and she is having a blast with a few reading programs we are participating in this summer! Our local library has a "Mad Scientist's Lab" that she can visit if she reads 15 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week. We just went today to claim her first prize. It was a lot of fun.
