Moms Scraping By, By The Skin Of Their Teeth

Do you feel like a mom who is getting by on pure luck. Are you one of those moms that has run out of gas just as you were pulling up to the pump? Are you upset at feeling dependent on people other than yourself, trying to find a way on your own, and not knowing if it will be there tomorrow? Do you need new ways to find hope in people again? ...I sure am... so I started a community called : Moms Scraping By, By the Skin Of Their Teeth (lol) The purpose of this group is intended to be for information on where to go for help when things get really rough. The idea came to me when I was reminiscing about times when I had nothing... I was down to my last diaper, my last bottle, and my last dollar with payday two weeks away. Thankfully a friend suggested a few different churches in our area that give you a voucher to go to k-mart and get a weeks worth of formula and diapers for your baby and K-mart bills the church or shelter you got the voucher from. I have come to find out that there are many places in my community that do these sorts of things but they are by no means 'advertised' by places like government services. Government services will not offer this information unless you specifically ask. These are things that you usually only find out about through word of mouth. So if you come across someplace like this in your area, please inform my community. There are also links posted to the community for Federal Food, Cash, Housing, and Health Care Assistance, Free Clinics in your area, Federal Education Grants, WIC, MAC, and Section 8 programs.
