I have one or two that aren't very good, the one on my ankle and the back of my neck were done by the same person, who.... isn't really passionate about it as much as some of the artists I know. So the one on the back of my neck is fixed at least.. now to make my ankle look better!!!!

I love all my tattoos! Only one cover up so far, and it was small! I find adding to what ever it is you have can make it look good too!

I'd never put anyone's name on my aside from my children... my husband is a close second... but I have a few symbols for him... that's a good start... lol! And besides, he knows I love him, and I know he loves me, he got a portrait of me on him... so if he hates me or not.. he's stuck with me for ever now!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have a vine on my shoulder connecting two other tattoos together...The vine was very poorly done. I got it when I was younger and not as 'bright' as I am now, haha. I like it, but I just wish it was done better. That's what I get for rushing into it though...

ya I regret one. Its a misfits skull on my ankle and it was done when I was messed up and young. Its huge and am not sure how to cover it up because it was done with a homemade tat gun. It has kinda turned into a skull blob. HAHA! What was I thinking?

Totally! I actually just got it covered recently...I had this great idea when I was 17 that I was a b*tch...I found that after maturing a bit, that it was just a phase, but it was too late to figure that out after getting the word on my arm!! In big letters at that!! Stupidity and made me realize how much thought you have to put into a tattoo before you get it...

Quoting Bridget:

I kinda regret getting my pubic area tattoo as when I had my daughter by c-section the doctor had to cut right through it, now it's got a huge scar running across it! I loved the tat for years but am now considering getting it re touched.

Oh that sucks.  Makes me curious though...did you like the actual tattoo just not the placement or what?

I don't regret any of mine, but I do have one that is now show-off worthy because many would not understand why I would do that to myself. On my left ankle I have a devil leaning on a purple lined cloud with a halo over (what I call her) head. It's my favorite 2 colors. The cloud with a purple lining is symbolic of my favorite color that I am completely drawn to. The devil is how I felt at the time, but always a little good hence the halo. So to sum it up.....I don't regret but also don't brag about it.

When I was 14 I got my 1st 2 tattoos......of course at that age you don't really look into tattoo shops and artists, so I ended up getting some bad work done (btw my mom did sign for me, if anyone is curious lol) my lower back tattoo that was a fairy lost most of its color, the lines were all wrong, it was just a mess.....i didnt get it covered up till about 3 to 4 years after b/c i could not find a shop that i trusted to cover the mess on my back......but I found one and now have something covering the fairy that I love. I always tell anyone who asks me about getting a tattoo to do research on shops and tattoo artists, and make sure what you are getting is something that you really want.

I don't regret my three because I've always looked at it like this: First, each tat tells a story - parts of my life - and even if they don't apply 10 years later, it reminds me of the times when they did! And second, who cares when I'm super old and gray and my tattoos don't look so great anymore? I'll just be an old cranky granny and say "Yeah, but I was cool once - cackle, cackle" lol

no, but I really need a touchup done on one of them. the artist who did it does touchups for free, but he moved to another state lol

With my first tattoo I don't regret it...I regret where I put it...upper arm in some prime inking real estate. There is one on my ankle I want to have redone because the colors faded immediately...I found out later that the artist's specialty was black and grey ....if I can get the colors fixed it will be all good.

my boyfriend's a tattoo artist. he got his job because he designed my first tattoo - nautical stars on my hips. i may add more to them later, but i love them just as much as i did when he first drew them.

my second tattoo is the aerosmith logo, in the same place as it is on the "young lust" album (catecorner, however it's spelled, on my right shoulderblade).

my third is two stars with a swirl at the ends of them as a tramp stamp; it was the first tattoo my boyfriend did on me, so i was excited... then realized i can't do anything more with it, so he's covering it up for me as soon as i find something. i feel bad, but he understands why.

my last tattoo is my biggest, and the one i love most. it's an abstract piece from the top left of my shoulder that goes right below the middle of my bra strap, with a red rose and two nautical stars with look-alike musical symbols. my boyfriend customized it for me and i had to wait so long for it since he wanted to make it perfect for me. :D

Well I don't regret any of mine. I just want like 2 of them covered up. I put my ex boyfriend's initials on my side and that should never of happened. I am getting them covered up with a huge lotus flower the goes up my side. Can't wait for that one. The other one is a small stupid butterfly that I got on the back of my neck for my 21st birthday. It will be covered up in the next couple weeks with a free-handed drawing that matches my neck/shoulder piece (i posted a pic in the pic section)!!! There is only 1 person that I will let tat me and he's amazing!!!

I hate my first tattoo!!! I didn't pick it out from a book or anything, but it's a drawing that a friend of mine did of this anime looking fairey. It's a cool drawing and tattoo'd really well, it's just one of those things that is not me anymore 7 years later!

Noo...i dont regret any because both of my tatts have had long thought into them...not just i chose one and thats it.

Mine are a symbol from egyptian culture ( eye of ra), and one from the ntaive indian culture ( dreamcatcher). i love both cultures, and i always wanted to do something which represents both....now my third will be the ankh =D

I wouldn't say regret, but I have like 2 that could stand to be covered up. my very very first one, done by my bff. It's a yin-yang on my ankle done when we were about 13 or 14 yrs old. it's about the size of a nickel or slightly smaller and it's on the inside of my ankle, so it doesn't stick out too much. it's hard though, because I'm not a huge fan of ankle tats so I wouldn't even know what to cover it with. I guess, when i start covering my legs, it'll end up being covered then. I'm patient, and have since become very picky about who does my tattoos and what they will be, so I ain't trippin'.

My second one that sucks is a trippy looking star around my belly button. Maybe once upon a time it looked alright. But it's cheesy, and all the weight I've gained plus good ol' stretch marks = yuck. But I don't see anything else going there anytime soon, and as I don't wear 'belly shirts' (haha!! yeah RIGHT!!),  it's also no biggie.

oh wait, duh!! The one that actually does kinda bug me!! It's my first *real* tattoo, that i had done when I was 15, (my mom took me). It's a fairy sitting on a mushroom and it's on my left breast. I actually do not like this one. Mainly for the fact that it's taking up prime real estate (as I want a chest piece), and it really has no significance to my life. Take it as a lesson learned. Kids cannot choose something at that age to put on their bod's forever. That's why I don't want my daughter getting any tats until she's like 21.

so! anyone ever had one removed?

I don't regret any of them because I can look at them and remember where I was in life when I got what one but I do have two that I would like covered up cause they didn't hold up so good over the years, lol. The first one I ever got on my hip is the main one. It was a tribal shark. I say was cause now it just kinda looks like an ink blot test, lol. The rest of them I guess I'm cool with. I would like to add to another one but I'm not sure of the best way to do it.

I have three and don't regret any of them, although my newest is probably my favorite.  In hind sight, I kind of wish my first one was a little smaller, but I'm still ok with what I have.

I wouldn't say I have any that I regret, but there are a couple I'd like covered up. My hubby is a tattoo artist and he did several of his first pieces on me. I'd like to keep one but get the rest covered. Unfortunately, the people who have money all get in line before I do LOL so I think I'll be waiting a while.

I don't regret any of mine.  I love tattoos and I think about them for a long time before I actually put ink to skin.  :)
