PreK is just wearing out my 4 yr old!!!

We have a daycare on campus for our teachers kids and my son attended all day last year. This year they put him into the afternoon pre-K class and the poor thing is so tired. We've been in school for two weeks now and he falls asleep on the way home in the car ( I only live about 5 miles from school)! He then sleeps until the next morning! I just hate it for him! I know I need to give him time to adjust and he probably will but I just hate to see him so tired. He's a very busy little boy and you don't see him like this often!!

LOL, He will adjust. I taught Pre-K for 13 years in an all-day program and we had a lot of first-time school kids who were't used to being in school. Poor thing!

I teach a half day program and have both morning and afternoon sessions. The afternoon students often have a hard time adjusting depending on what time they have to wake up in the morning, Is it possible for him to wake up later? If not, I believe he will get used to it. My students do, but it can take a while.
