Sleepless nights and work the next day

Any teacher knows that our job is demanding and exhausting. You must always be "on" to keep your students attention and to be alert to their needs. Being a mother of a 7 month old makes this difficult. To top it off I suffer from migraines in which being tired is a trigger. I have no choice but to work, and I use to enjoy my job. But these days I dread work and drag myself through the day. When I get home i count down until my son goes to sleep so that I can crash too. Help!

Danielle,

I know what you are going through. When we had our first son my husband started a new business venture (sportsbar) anyway, he was never home and came in late for at least a year. On top of that my son had ear infections every couple of weeks until he was 15 months old! so...many sleepless night with first graders to deal with the next day.

It does get better I promise! When he goes to bed you go to bed, on the weekends take pleanty of naps! Hire someone to clean the house at least every other week. It cost some money, but it is really worth it!

Hang in there!
