I am in middle of crocheting a bunch of pot scrubbies and swiffer covers (so I don't have to keep paying for the disposables).

Well this year I decided that I have been crocheting long enough... I should learn how to read a pattern.. (I have been crocheting Since I was about 14 years old) and since then I have gone NUTS !! I have been working lately on round scarf , just learned how to do slippers yesterday..I have made 2 pairs so far .. crocheting helps with my anxiety and I love to make things for people :-)

I'm working on a pair of newborn hats for a friend who is going to have twins. Hats are by far my favorite thing to knit- and at the rate I knit, I'll have the hats done by when she's due in January...

I recently finished knitting a weeping cherry scarf, using a pattern that I developed myself. It was a rewarding project and I cannot wait for cooler weather here in New England so that I can start wearing it more often! The 60% baby alpaca and 40% pima cotton yarn is really soft, and I like the look of the finished product as well.

Photos and links to the pattern can be found here:

And now I am knitting a bolero from a pattern / class on Craftsy. I am just starting but I like the bolero already too!

Happy knitting,

Kirsten

I just finished granny square ponchos for my three granddaughter for Christmas (2010) and now I am working on a neck wrap and hat for myself as well as a "Hello Kitty" toy for a granddaughter's March birthday. At the same time, I work on making 4-round granny squares that will eventually become an afghan for a full-size bed.

I have quite a few orders for sweaters from people at work. I made one for one person, now a bunch of people want them. my problem is that i stay up late to crochet after everyone goes to bed...then tired in the morning from not enough sleep.

I'm crocheting a panda bear costume for my son, who is nearly 2... I'm adapting two patterns - one for a hoodie sweater, and one for drawstring pants, making the white/black color changes, and also adding ears to the hood of the sweater. I'm done with the sweater, which came out great, and have started on the pants... So far so good, of course my nightmare is that after all this work, my little one will refuse to wear it when the time comes! :) But he loves pandas, so I'm hopeful. ;)

www.bevscountrycottage.com has a very very easy pattern for 2 needle mittens. If I can knit them anyone can. They are very quick to knit up as you knit both mittens at the same time.

I have finished the hat I was working on. Next it's time to start on the mittens. This will be my first time knitting mittens. I found a pattern on the internet that I like. They are two needle mittens and you knit both at the same time. Which is good for me because I cant always duplicate something on the second time around.

Well, I just started another project, ladies. This time a crochet shawl. This should go quickly. I am having a few disasters with my summer knitting, so taking a short break. Getting the count wrong, DOG - helping me to drop stitches on an impossible pattern which I had to start all over again! So, most of my knitting is on a short time out. If you're interested on seeing my work, quite a bit of it is posted on Ravelry and I am momtatknits over there, for anyone that is on Rav. Some are blank and I need to get pics up, but I'm in the process of researching cameras right now. Our digital is getting quite old and the pics it takes are not as good as they once were.

I am working on a short sleeved sweater with some beautiful green yarn that is so nice to knit with. Also I just started a baby papoose that you knit from the bottom in the round for a friend who is having twins.
I just finished my first felting project, a little purse that turned out nice

Sheri, I moved to Germany back in February...and believe it or not, packed three different knitting projects with my carry-on. And more in the stuff I had the movers pack. Luckily, knitting and crocheting projects are light. :-D

It is so wonderful to learn that I am not so different, having several projects in the works at all times. I have recently moved and most of my stuff is still packed. But, I made sure to have my 'pet' project with me during the move. It is a lap blanket, done in strippes then joined together. This particular pattern is focused on a chain of rings. Using four co-ordinating colors. Then joined in a neutral color. I like it. If I am able I will "attach" a photo when I finish.

I have a few Lol alot of Knitting stuff in progress. Thank God I have finished a few. I started Child Aran Sweater last month after my Knitting Group. I was having problems so, I put it down crocheted sewed etc., Throughout the Month Today The Lady that gave me a copy of the sweater pattern helped me with the problem So I should be doing that for a while (?). I'm trying to find time worthy hats and Mitts to knit up for winter as well. We'll see. God Bless

Where do I start? lol First I designed my own pattern for a crocheted afghan. It's a variegated yarn flower (75 different colors of variegated yarn used) surrounded by black which comes out hexagon shaped. I need 105 hexes. I have all the flowers done, but I still have 34 more to do the black around. Then I have to connect them all! Whew!! Next I'm working on a prayer shawl, in which our church group is making and donating. Then I learned to knit my first pair of socks ( cuff down), but now I'm working on a pair knitted from toe up two at a time! The yarn is a wool and mink mix. This is going slow! Thank heaven for You-Tube!! I know there are a few more projects in the works, but these are the main ones right now.

A better question would be, "what am I not working on?" LOL! I'm working on a scarf, fingerless gloves, a shawl, and I'm spinning yet more yarn on my spinning wheel. Heaven forfend that I should look at my stash in the next few days because no doubt I'll pick up yet another project to do.

I'm just learning to make socks. I have my first pair in progress and I recently joined a sock club at my local knit shop, Twist.

Up until now, I've mostly worked on baby blankets (a dozen in the past year) and afghans (two in the same time). I do both knit and crochet.

Here's some recent projects.
