They each have benefits, but it also depends on where you live and the policys for the state, province, city, town, territory etc etc etc.
I live in Ontario Canada,
I don't like that home daycares don't have to be licenced, where as centers do
I like that ratios are low in both, centeres and homedaycares
I like the fact of the socialization in centers (more children, different aged children for your child to socialize with).
I HATE that daycare centers are so expensive
I HATE that home daycares may not offer educational actvities
I LOVE that centers generally always offer educational programs
Home daycares always show more love, understanding and flexibility
Centers have times and ratios to keep up with, some are flexible, most are not
I work in a LARGE center and love it, But when it comes to putting my child in a large center or a home daycare, I'm having a hard time deciding!!!
