I am also new to this group. My Daughter is 6 going on 7 in Aug. She just finished Kindergarten. They learned A LOT more than I thought they would. She had some trouble learning to read but we are working on it this summer and she seems to be getting better. I am very proud of her! :)

Great. My daughter will be 7 in November, so she is also starting 1st grade. They only had half day kindergarten, which I hated. This year is all-day, wouldn't you know. Anyway, I'm thinking of joining this group. I like active groups and some of my faves don't seem so much, so we'll see.
