Is anyone elses baby obsessed with their hands?

Hey everyone,
I have noticed for a while now that my baby Bryson (18months) loves to look at his hands. He will hold them up in the air, swing them infront of his face, and open and close his hand to watch his fingers move. He has done it since he was about 6 months old i think i figured he would grow out of it...anyone elses baby or child do this to? is it just one of those "things" that kids with DS like to do? lol

My daughter has just recently became obsessed with her hands and feet. Its really pretty adorable. She always folds her hands like she is praying (probably that Mommy will put away that darn camera lol) She puts her hands in her mouth when she is eating and gets mad if she wants to grab her feet and can't reach them. The only time its a problem is when she has therapy since we are trying to build up her arm strength so that she can learn all those things, like sitting and crawling, that require use of her arms. her therapist has a hard time most of the time keeping her hands out of her mouth!
