My daughter with DS also has Cerebal palsy(hemiplegia), has anyone else come across this combination?

My daughter Veronika was 2 in May. She was diagnosed with DS at birth. When I was pregnant my ob noticed she had had a massive bleed in her brain, which they have no idea what caused it, and we will never know. This was discovered 3 weeks before she was born. Veronika was diagnosed with Cerebal Palsy(hemiplegia down her left) just before her 1st birthday. I was wondering if anyone else has come across the combination, as our brain injury specialist has never seen it, and he is very honest in saying that he doesnt know how to treat her CP, because of her underlying low muscle tone, if he uses botox for her high tone he doesnt know if it will make her low tone worse.....any ideas?

my son who is 5 also has DS with left hemiplegia he has been getting botox for his low tone and has been issued with AFO splints for both day and night which have been successful the Dr is pleased with his progress
