I recommend training for these types of companies and for working at home. That way you can find out what companies to work with and what ones to stay away from. I have been in the industry for over two years now and have tried many companies. The best is to train so you don't waste your money!

Rachel...I've gone through what you are going through and I agree with Katie...the work-at-home jobs where you are employed by another company are few and far between. I've been a single mom (now married with 4), but had 2 on my own until I met my husband. I worked at what I call a "regular" job and then decided to try my own business so that I could stay home. It wasn't easy and I had to get it going while working full time as well as take care of my 2 boys; however, it was worth it. I have been self-employed since then and will never get a "regular" job again. You really need to look at all the options you have and consider that just because you may have to pay a minimal start up cost doesn't mean that it is a scam. Working from home building your own business is worth it...if you are serious about working from home and are driven to succeed, then I would like to help you out. I know how it is to be a single mom with little or no job security...it is an awful place to be, but if you educate yourself and surround yourself with the right people, there is hope.
