My daughter has the hardest time pooping. She is not at all constipated, it's all very soft and mostly has no form. But she will strain and cry for over a day sometimes before she gets the poop out! She would have such an easier time if she would squat, but she stands ramrod strait and clenches her cheeks as much as humanly possible. The poor child even has hemeroids. How in the world can you get hemeroids when your poop is barely passable as solid? She's 16 months, and she screams bloody murder at the sight of her potty chair. I plan to wait another month before reintroduction. Any ideas? Should I stock up on mineral oil?

No, I just started, and she's only sat on it twice. Didn't like it either time so I'm waiting. She just stands up and clenches every time.

this started when trying to potty train? If she's holding it in because she doesn't want to go in the chair than maybe she's causing problem. She may not be straining to get it out but trying to keep it in which will also cause problems. My friends daughter will cry and clench those little cheeks till a diaper is on because she can't stand the idea of pooping out of it. We nicknamed it Diaper Trained

Is she potty trained so early?
