We just got my 18 month old daughter to start sleeping in her crib, I know crazy right???? What we did was just gradually move out of her room. The first night, I only held her hand for a few mins in the crib, the next week I would sit in the rocker untill she fell asleep, next week I was in the door way, and so on. Now I can hardly get in her bed time story before shes wanting to go in her crib. It is such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when they can put themselves to sleep.

my son is now 10 months old and has been sleeping in his crib since he was a few weeks old. All we did was keep the same bedtime routine, after his bath we would lay him in his crib turn on his lullaby bear and walk away and shut the door. The more you linger in the room and worry whether or not they will accept it the harder it seems for them to relax as well, they pick up on vibes if you act like its not a big deal then neither will they.

My son has been sleeping in his crib since he was 3 months old. He of course when he was that young was sleeping alot during the day so I would put him in his crib for his naps during the day. I also tried to take him in there to play and to get comfortable in there. I would tell him "this is your room" haha like he knew what I was saying. But try that. Also for his night time routine I always take him in there after his bath turn the light down and play lullaby music for him then rock him to sleep in there so he will get used to it. Hope maybe some of this will help and good luck!!

If you are trying to get your baby to fall asleep in the crib, it can be difficult. With my son, we would put him in the crib at the same time every night to go to bed. We would let him cry for a couple of minutes and then go in and comfort him w/out picking him up. Each time we went in, we would let more time pass by before comforting him. It took 2 hours one night. It is very hard when they are crying for you, but after a couple of nights, he finally just rolled over to sleep. Hope this helps.

Good question! My 9-month old daughter will start the night in her crib, but then ends up in bed with mommy and daddy. (And if anyone has a problem with the co-sleeping, get over it, lol! If it means that all 3 of us get sleep, then so be it!) She slept in her bassinet a few times when she was a newborn, then slept in her swing until she was about 4 months old, and then in the bassinet part of the Pack n Play. I am breastfeeding her, so I nurse her to sleep. If anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE post!!!
