I am just wondering how old you were when you had your first child, also how old you are now and if you have had more children? I had my first when I was 17, am 26 now(27 in August) and have had 5 children all up.(one, a litle boy who was stillborn) Are you happy with the age you were or would you have liked it to be different?

I was 21 when I had my son and I am 24 now. I think that the age was not really the thing that needed to be changed. I am a single mother and it is at times difficult raising a little one on my own but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

I was 21 when i had my first and 22 when I had my second (they are 13 months apart). I love them both and there are days that I wish I would have waited but I don't know if life would be the same with out them. I.m 23 now!

I just had my daughter in April and I am 26. This is my first and I plan on having 2 more. I am glad I waited because I was able to get financial situated and get my career going. Also as hard as it is trying to take care of a baby I really don't think I could have done if I was younger.

It was my 21st birthday when I had my first little girl. Now Im 27 going on 28 in Dec. and I just had my second daughter on March 27. I'm ok with the age that I was when I had my first daughter. I kind of wish that my second would have been a little closer to my first but my life wasn't in shape to have another baby a few years ago. Things were kind of rocky and It wouldn't have been fair to my first daughter or myself to bring another child into the picture. Its all good though cause I do want another, MAYBE, but it would have to be soon cause 30 is the age limit for me! LOL! and that's a big MAYBE!

i was 17 when i had my daughter she is now 9, i was 25 when i had my son he will be 3 on the 9th june. For me my kids ended up having different dads, my daughter's dad is in contact when he can be bothered, my sons dad walked out when bub was 3 weeks old haven't seen him since. I could say I wish I could change who their dads are but then I would change who they are. I wouldn't change any thing although it does get lonely at times I just look at them and the love i feel for them fills the void.

I was 21(almost 22) when I had my son Jaxon. Now, I'm 23 and going on number 2. I don't see a problem with the age I was when I had my first, I wouldn't change anything.

I had my daughter in October 2007 turned 20 the previous May. Her father was 21. I'm now 22 and she is 19 months. I've had no more children but hope to soon. I think being a young parent is beneficial to the child(ren) for the simple fact that we have more energy to be spent on them. Plus there have been studies to prove that children of younger parents, that is between 18 and 26, have been shown to have higher IQ's for the fact that the children would spend more time with the parents friends and be more versed in the ways of the world. I dont think I would have changed my age. I still get to go out once every weekend and thats sufficent. What's more important? Your children or partying?

I was 24 when I had my first (and currently only child) I will be 25 in a few months. I am glad that I did not have the child when I was younger. I had A LOT of difficulties with the pregnancy and almost lost her twice. We are planning on having more children, my daughter is only 2 months old so I want to wait until she is around 9 months to get pregnant again, my husbands wants to start over now. (He is almost 40 so he doesnt want to be to old for the chidlren when they come) I wouldnt change anything for the world. I am happy with the way things turned out, hospital visits and all.

I just had my first child, a daughter, 3 months ago and I'm 27. I think it had been the perfect age for me as I don't feel like I'm 'missing out' on anything now. I've had my time in the sun, so to speak. I've finished school, got a degree, gone and lived interstate for a while, and partied til my heart's content. Having children was the next step for me :)

Personally I couldn't imagine missing out on the freedom I had when I was younger. And now it just makes me appreciate my daughter even more.

[deleted account]

I was 34 when I had my first child, I am now 43 and I had my second child when I was 42, my sons are now 9 and 13months and I wouldn't change a thing. My 2nd son was born through IVF which worked after 4 tries over 5 1/2 yrs. If i had known i was going to have difficulty conceiving I would have started earlier but I am happy how things have turned out.

I was 19 when I had my first but I miscarried at 17. I am 26 now (going to be 27 in May). I did have another baby when I was 21. So I have 2 girls. The funny part about it all is my husband isn't supposed to be able to have kids so when we lost our first we were devastated, and we had his fertility checked again. They told him the same thing they had when he was younger that odds were he wouldn't be able to father children. So when I did get pregnant again at 19 we had his fertility levels checked again and they said the same thing. SO it was obviously meant to be -which is why we took our chances without birth control. In ten years we have been blessed with 2 kids and they keep telling us we are lucky. I want 2 more too when I am done with graduate school, so we will see how it plays out. It was obviously meant to be!

I am extremely happy with the age I had my girls. I don't understand how woman can wait until they are in their late 30's or 40's to have kids. They put themselves and their kids at risk for all kinds of health and development problems--plus they lack the energy for little ones. I think being a young mom had its advantages. It also makes going to school more rewarding even if it is sometimes more difficult and complicated.

I have never regretted the decision I made to have my daughter, and if it weren't for her I wouldn't have gotten to where I am without her.....Kids have an amazing way of making you grow up don't they?

I should have rephrased what I had said before. I was the perfect age to have my first child. My husband and i where married for 2.5 years when my oldest was born. We had tried to get pregnant soon after we had gotten together. I was just shy of turning 24 by 3 months. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I was a bit older. Or younger, but I know it was the right time. My mother got to know that she was going to be a grandmother before she died. I wish she could have met my son though. Like I had said before I was 7 months preg. when she died.
With my daughter I was 26...I must say even just those few years made all the difference on my body. I think it is easier on your body to be pregnant when you are younger. I'm am glad that they are 2.5 years apart.

I was 8 days 18 when I had my first son. I miscarried when I was 22, but got pregnant 2 weeks later with my younger son (now 9 months old), and I am pregnant with my 3rd at 23 (24 in August). I am due in December. Hopefully this one is a girl, I am a little out numbered here ... but as long as its healthy ... thats all that matters. I wouldnt change anything about when I had my children. My parents who are in their early 40's get to take a big part in their grandchildrens lives, which I love watching them spoil my kids.

Now when I have him, I wish I started earlier! I hope to have at least 1 more in the future. I am married to my son's father for 2 years and we have been together for 6 years before. Would I change anything? Probably, I would have been more careful and waited, So that I could have had a bit more of a life first,

Maybe I would have gotten to know my now husband better before we ad our son ( together only 3 months when we got pregos )

Other then that, I love things the way they are. It can be very difficult at times with all of the judgement you get from people.

But, I am still young enough to have a life after they are grown. And I will be young enought to injoy my grandkids...lol

I'm 22 (23 in july!) and have loved every minute of being withb my daughter.

Yes I did find it hard having my daughter at a young age but I learned to deal with it from getting up every three hours to dealing with the stares and whispers from other people as i pushed the pram down the road!

I would never change a thing about my age or my daughter.
