hi all just to give you an update i started to get the same pain again thurs just gone started at 11pm & tablets did not work a bath didnt work & the pain was really bad it came to 4am & i couldnt bear it any longer normally it goes after an hr but this was still strong so i phoned the hospital & they told me to come in straight away to delivery suite so i did they gave me sum strong painkillers & monitor baby's heart beat all was fine so they took some bloods & sent them off urgent also did a wee test then i waited for an hr still in pain & the test results came back from wee sample they was something showing so they checked bloods & there was also something showning in one of my samples so they had to get me a uss scan to check my kidneys gallblader etc so i stayed in hospital till the later on at 4pm i had the scan & found out that i have 2 gallstones which has grown too big for me too pass through my body so now i have to have surgery but cant until baby is born which means at 35/36 weeks i will have to have a c-section & the surgery straight after so just goes to show that doctors arnt always right as they said it was nothing & if i hadnt gone in i would never have known & could have got an infection from them

I will agree with the other 2 mom's! I am 32 weeks and having my 4th...I have been having contractions/braxton hicks since I was 5 months....of course now getting closer to the due date the contractions are getting very strong and very painful. Drink lots of water! And even though this is the 4th baby for me (in a 4 year time span) I still panic when they get real bad. At any cost if it hurts to the point where you say to yourself "something is not right here" go to the doctor immediatly! They might just send you home and tell you everything is fine, but at least you won't panic that something is wrong with the baby! And yes please keep us informed!

hi i think what your going through at the minute is whats known as braxton hicks it is like contractions it gives you the general jist of what it might feel like going through labour and dont worry it is common i had them and most other mums will have them

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant on Thurs with my second child! I do have a high risk pregnancy and been going through the same pains and what not! With me though it is too early to have the baby so I have to be more cautious! But the way I look at it is if you get pains and what not and all the usual things that you do dont soothe it like taking a bath then I would be worried! If they last for a long time in short intervals than call your midwife! Rest as much as you can just in case you could have a preterm child! Rest and eat properly! My prays are with you! Keep me posted!

hi just to let you no ive had it again on friday nite the really bad pains had to run a bath at 11.30pm & jump straight in & that seamed to work it took the pain away quite quickly & have spoken to the midwife & she says that it is braxton hicks & the reason im gettin pain really bad is that my fundas hasnt grown central as normal it has grown to the left hand side of my stomache so that will be causing extra pain as there isnt much room for baby to move around & also im 28 weeks now but they think i could be further on as they normal measure baby from top of fundas to pubic bone but cant do that with me so i have to have a growthing scan at the end of the month so will see what they say !
