dont worry about it hunny, i had my child at 35 wks because he was very small, i had to have a doppler scan ever week to check the growth and my waters, most times the midwifes are wrong, they said my boy weighed less than 3'80z and would need an incubater, have behavour problems, suffer asthema and exema but he is now 3 and is a very healthy boy who is very advanced for his age. u will b fine x

try not to worry too much, i was told throughout my pregnancy that my daughter was measuring small and she was born a week early at 6lbs 1oz a normal weight. sometimes near the end their head starts to cone from being in the birth canal and they measure small. or sometimes u are just small to begin with and they want you to measure like the average person. everyone is different.

With my first i was told he was going to be small probably around 5 lb but when he was born at 38 weeks he was 6 lb 4 oz. My daughter was said to be the right size for dates, she was born at 37 weeks weighing 3 lb, she is 6 weeks old now and 5 lb 1oz. She has never seen a hospital as she is genetically small. Im not a big build and nor is my mom. Your body will grow a baby to suit you. If you are not miss average then your baby wont be either. Hope this helps and good luck, believe in yourself and if you belive everything is ok then it is.

Try not to worry... I was told I was carrying my last child small... I was 36 weeks but only measuring 28...My baby popped out a week early just short of 9lbs... Oh yes... very small ;) I don't carry a lot of fluid which makes me carry small.

When I was 38 weeks pregnant I was told that my baby was measuring small and was brought for a scan. They sonographer said that my baby was around 7lbs. When I gave birth baby was 6lbs and was perfectly healthy.

Try not to worry.

?I had my baby at 39 weeks and he was small. He was 5lbs 11oz and 22 inches. Before he left the hospital he had gotton down to 5lbs. 3oz. He is 7 weeks now and still only 6lbs 8oz. He is completly healthy. Don't worry about your baby being small as he or she is healthy.

I was 24 weeks along with my little girl, when I was told that she was small. I had 4 ultrasounds to monitor the growth of her lungs, heart and other organs (also to monitor her position because she bum down instead of head down). Aside from her size, every u/s was perfect! She was born at 39 weeks, 6lbs 15oz and 19inches (20 inches is the average)! She's now a very active 16 month old! She's still short, she's the same height as the average 9 month old, but she's at the weight she's supposed to be at and she's met all the milestones that most babies her age have! We were never worried about her size!
All babies grow and develop differently, so don't worry, there is still lots of time for your baby to grow!

i had a scan 2 wks ago when i was 31 weeks it only 3 pound and they talking about bringing it early due to complications so if your baby bigger then that then no worries. its the lungs they more concerned with and if they worried they will put u on steroids a couple of days b4 u go in just to mature them a bit. they did this with my first which was born at 36wk and no probs.

It might be nothing to worry about. At 35 weeks my cousin was told her baby was too small, went for a scan, they said the baby was only around 7lbs. he was born shortly after, perfectly fine and at 8lbs8oz lol. I'm sure they are just airing in the side of caution.
