My brother has a 2 yr old. She could speak really well. Probably one of the best speakers I've heard at 2 yrs old. Well Monday she woke up with a stutter. Has this happen to any of ya'll? If so, what can he do? Is this a big problem?

Talk you guys for the help. I was kinda worried that it could be for attention. Well more like bein overwhelmed. She will be a big sister next month and I know whats hard to handle for her.

My niece is doing the same thing. She has been talking for ages (she has 7 older siblings and learned early) and has recently started stuttering. Its just because her brain is thinking faster than her mouth can get it out. I just get her to stop and slow down and she gets whatever she wants to say out without any problem.

my kids doctor said around the age of 2 they can develop a slight studder but not to worry unless it last pasts 5 years old. They're brains are trying to put sentences together and work really fast. i wouldn't worry!

My 3 year old daughter does the same thing from time to time. At their age sometimes their brain gives them words faster than their mouth can say them. It just takes a little time for it to all catch up. We tell our daughter to slow down and think about what she is trying to say, and she can usually reply whatever it was she tried the first time. Unless it gets worse or she cannot fix it with slowing herself down a little, it shouldn't be anything to worry about!
