I've noticed the few days my one month old has been fussy. I saw yesterday that she has two bumps in the middle of her bottom gums. I asked my cousin about it and she said that she thought it would be two early but that's what the bumps look like. She said she didn't know though because she didn't think both of the bottom teeth came in at the same time, that they come in one at a time.

She told me to get a cold wet washcloth, we tried a teething ring but she hated it cause it was too cold, and my daughter seemed to like that but I still was unsure.

Early this morning, my daughter was being fussy again. She wouldn't take her paci or her bottle but she kept looking like she was rooting at my arm. I put my finger in her mouth and she clamped down on it, not sucked. It actually kind of hurt I didn't think she had so much power in her jaws lol. Well I got a cold washcloth again and she seemed happy when I put a corner in her mouth. She gummed it until it was hot. I'd put another area in her mouth and she did the same, we kept doing this for about 15 minutes. Then, she just stopped, went back to sleep and stayed asleep for about three more hours.

Does it sound like she's teething to you? How can I help her if she is? She's so young. She can't have teething biscuits or anything frozen. She can't even hold anything to her mouth except for a paci. I feel so bad for her. How do I help my baby girl?

My friend's baby is doing the same thing. I asked my mom about it and she said baby's can start showing signs of teething months before any teeth actually break through. I would ask her pediatrician for suggestions on soothing her.
