I love staying at home, I can't imagine missing all of the little things my son does. I take care of my friends kids to bring in a few bucks and it works out great. It helps her out cause the price of actual day care is so crazy.

I think if you can stay home and want to you should. Daycare or preschool are both good options to stay home. You should look into preschool if you're interested though because you don't have to do a full-time schedule and you can typically make the same money.

I will be staying at home, with the price of daycare here... It's just not worth it lol!! At least I'll be with my LO all the time ;-)

It's up to you, whatever you feel like doing the most.... Happy mummy, happy kids!!

I think it depends on you. I perfer to work. I feel like i appreciate my children more because I dont see them all day and I dont plan on being a stay at home mom unless I have number 3, cause then daycare costs would be to much. But I have a friend who loves being a stay at home mom. So its just up to you.

It all depends. If your planning on opening a daycare centre you children could be with you still and then you wont really miss out on too much of your childs development. You are right in this economy we do need to be working mothers. It is hard but without the money we can't provide for our kids.

All the best with what you decide in the end. I do love your plan though.

I don't really think that one is better than the other....if your in a position to be able to be a stay at home Mom that's awesome! Obvious benefits to that are much more hands on raising and bonding. But if you have to rejoin the work force there is nothing wrong with that either. Daycare can be scary but it can also be a great place for children to learn to socialize. People just need to be sure to do some research on where your enrolling your child. Either way your child will be loved equally so just do whatever is best for your family now and you can always reasess and change the situation later down the road. Oh and best of luck with the new daycare business!
