I am still not taking anything....not happy about thinking about taking anything....been avoiding it now for two years. I am not sick right now at all. I was on some steroid-IV for a week last year when I had double vision...it worked for a few day and it started again. I spent $5,000 on the meds or the insurance did and it came right back. I decided to pray my way through it and it went away in the same amount of time as the meds. I have not been sick since. I don't know what to think about any of it and I am frustrated beyond belief. I am on Avonex and it works great. Since I have been on this medication I have not had any new leasions on my brain. The down side to this medication is that it is a deep muscle shot once a week that has some side effects that differ for everyone. I get really tired the night I do my shot and sometimes headaches but that is all for me. I also take various other medications to deal with the issues I have from the previous exacerbations along with a multi vitamin, calcium and fish oil. I am 26 years old and my issues are related to numbness. I have been off all medications for the past 7 months while pregnant and will not go right back on anything because I want to breastfeed. My plan is to do that for 3 months then go back on the shots. I hope this information helps.

No, after looking at the CDs I just realized that they don't know much about anything so most are all experimental at this point so opted out of taking them and made several doctors angry. I pray...take vitamins at times and have loads and loads of faith...better than any medicine for me. I call the House of Hope and Healing frequently and they pray me through everything. Now if something were to happen like they are telling me could happen....then I would make a decision to take something but I have never been sick more than two weeks and it just gos away! I took iv steroids once and it still took two weeks to go away. So.....my conclusion is the meds work differently for everyone and I don't do so hot on medicine so the longer I can stay drug free the better.

I was just diagnosed in June 2009. I was given Provigil for fatigue and dont see any improvement with it. I went on the therapy Copaxzone, it made my hair fall out so we stopped that one. Now Im doing IVIG treatments. I havent been doing it long enough I think to see any improvement. The headaches are unbearable. When they are too bad we go to E.R. for a combo of Benedryl, Compazine and Triodil. It eases it some.
