My kids are mostly grown (2 married, 1 coming home from first year of college today(!), and one 17-year-old boy), and I got interested in eating raw, whole foods four years ago when I was diagnosed with a meningioma (brain tumor - benign, thank God! - removed successfully at that time), and introduced to this way of eating from a friend who had had cancer, but chosen to eat this way rather than experience chemo or radiation! When I eat this way, I am healthy! When I don't, I have no energy, and don't lose any weight (I need to!)! I need a place to get recipes and encouragement! Also, if anyone has ideas to help when one is surrounded by carnivores who don't "get it" - I could use those too!

6 months, starting solids: soft fruit processored with expressed breastmilk. She loves mango. She's also tried a little green juice, coconut water (which she didn't like oddly enough!), & pudding made from avocado, sweet bananas, and carob.
The book Evie's Kitchen is FULL of raw vegan recipes for kids and nutrition ideas. It's definitely helpful to have.
