Hi I`m Dana and I have an ``unprecedented anomaly `` (and my spelling sucks. Sorry) I have gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors that have mutated to feed on the lining of my skin where they can`t see what is going on. I was diagnosed in 2005.
That aside what this is about is does anyone else feel the need to keep everything normal for their kids. (lost my question mark again, sorry) I mean even with surgery, I`m trying to get them to afterschool events and sending them to movies and planning big birthday parties and buying and wrapping cool christmas presents. How do we keep things normal and what is normal. What do you do. I send my kids cards and write them letters all the time but is this just fear that I won`t be around to say what needs to be said later. Help.
Note : my children are a girl who is 14 and a boy who is 10.
