What can I do to help or encourage her through the fears of not being able to care for her 11 month old daughter?

I also am a Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor. My oldest son was 5 and my youngest was only 9 months old when I was diagnosed. It is tough but you can get through it. Let her know that she will be able to care for her daughter again if she focuses on her treatment now and lets other family members care for her daughter when she doesnt feel like it. Her treatment is the most important thing right now. I will remember her in my prayers. God Bless you and your family

Hi, I am sorry this has not been replied to!

She will do it. I did it. It's hard, but you have the advantage of the baby being so young. She won't remember it. I wish your d-i-l all the best and hope her treatment is going smoothly.
