Mean girls. Those pretty, popular, cool girls who use their social power to hurt those less blessed by social fortune.

The specter of a popular, predatory prom queen taking down the class nerd with a cutting remark or vicious prank is the stuff of legend, many popular movies, and sometimes a sad fact of real life.

I just wrote an article about how girls as young as preschool are forming cliques and bullying each other. I've seen my own girls be both the victims and perpretators of this, and am interested in ways to stop it.

Here's the article at Strollerderby: http://blogs.babble.com/strollerderby/20...

Well I have found that with my daughter who is pretty but not snobby. Is on the other end of the torture this year by the girls in the class that see her as a threat. My daughter wore a cute sun dress yesterday to school for pictures and was told she looked like she was getting ready to have a baby. She is in the 5th grade now almost 5 ft tall and weighs about 70 lbs. They are just cruel anymore. She begs me to cut all her hair off and not make her wear nice clothes b/c she is joked. She has been attacked in the bathroom for possibly thinking of using a stall that the other girl deemed her toilet I mean come on. This is crazy behavior that stems across lines of pretty rich girls. The problem is in most cases the kids in general have no discipline at home people are scared to say no to their kids. Some parents need to take the blinders off to the real world they are creating monsters that will not be able to function as adults.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.
