I have been taking Zoloft for 3 months now. I was started on 50mg but had no improvement. I have been on 100mg now and I am still not feeling any better. I just don't think it is working for me. :/

Although I have not had any negative side effects. I did have issues sleeping the first week or so. And when my dose was changed. But that cleared up quickly.

i was prescribed zoloft during my pregnancy because i had what my doctor called "prenatal depression" so bad i didnt even want my baby. it didnt help. but then afetr he was born i got severe PPD because im a single mother with no support so all the pressure was on me. it does seem to be helping me now but not very much. i guess its one of them take it or leave it kinda drugs. i would like to get on something a lil more stronger but this is the safest med for a breastfeeding mother. so untill then i guess i just have to deal

I've been taking Zoloft for 9 months now and it seems to be working great for me. It's definitely different for different people, but if it seems to be helping you, that's great.

To be honest, Zoloft is one of the tamest, is not the tamest of all anti-depressants. Which is good and bad.
It's great because you can prescribe it to pregnant women without hurting the baby.
However - it's bad in so many ways.
1 - It's very mild, it didn't help me at all I felt absolutely no change at all.
2 - they prescribe it to every man and his dog - it's the first drug most docs prescribe, and usually as a "placebo" effect.

Unfortunately all you can do is try it and see for yourself. If there's no change in 2 months ask your doc to step it up a level. I'm on efexor and it works so brilliantly.

Zoloft was one of the medications I tried but really didn't get on with. I'm pretty sure I had a reaction to one of the ingredients though as I also had the same reaction with Celexa. I had constant nausea & vomitting, shaking, diziness, dioreah & I felt sort of 'zoned out'...like I was having an out-of-body experience :/

I'm currently on Prozac which seems to work well for me. It's the one I was on before I was pregnant with our 1st (severe depression) & after she was born. I've stopped taking it now though because I'm pregnant again :)

I was put on Zoloft during my pregnancy (was thinking of death/dying all the time) and it did make me feel more like myself. However, I was recently diagnosed as bipolar and my OB didn't take that into account when she prescribed. I swung into a psychosis:\

If you don't suffer from a mood disorder that contraindicates its use, go for it. I've had "normal" friends on Zoloft after pregnancy and it helped.

The important thing is to be self-aware.
