If you have struggled with alcoholism, smoking, or sweets cracvings in the past the whole hormonal and physical bashing that is pregnancy and delivery could be bringing back the cravings.

I know I haven't drank in 3 years because I got really bad with it. Even now it hits me like a brick when I see an ad for Mikes Hard Lemonaid or Smirnoff Ice! Absolutely nothing I drink seems to quench my thirst and the thought of having a drink may haunt me for the entire day! Really I don't like myself when I drink, and I love my Son, Husband and more importantly myself enough not to give in.

As for sweets who doesn't crave a sweet? If your Son is 2 months old and you're feeling a bit run down and not eating/exercising properly it is just easier unfortunately to grab a chocolate bar and wolf it down. They need to make self stable fruit that last for months! If you let yourself go when you were pregnant "You're eating for two now!" it's REALLY hard to reign it back in. I still have to lose 40 pounds and my Son is 14 months old : /

If you were an occasional drinker or smoker or had just quit before you became pregnant it's probably just cravings. Unless you're feeling completely hopeless or that drinking or smoking is the ONLY THING that will get you to the end of even the next hour then you need to worry a bit I think. If you do feel it is becoming a problem speak with your doctor, perhaps it is something physical (anemia, low white blood cells). If it's nothing physical perhaps they can recomend a support group to get you back on track :)
