I'm so sorry :( You didn't do anything wrong! Your body just knew that the baby wasn't developing right. On last week Wednesday (Day before thanksgiving) I went in for an exam my cervix too was closed, and the dr felt like I was the correct size. He thought everything was fine. I couldn't have the ultrasound till Friday because the lab was closed. I went in on Friday to have it done, and the lady couldn't see anything, not even a fetal pole. I couldn't see the screen at all, she asked and I thought it would just be harder to look. After words I went to talk to my dr and he said that the tech did see a 6 1/2 week old baby with no heart beat. My body didn't realize I had miscarried.

The dr, and everything I read said it usually takes 5-7 weeks after the D&C. and that you need at least 20 days of not bleeding to get your period. Although for some it takes longer even if everything is fine. It's just how your body adjusts to it. It's SO hard just waiting for your cycle to return.

With most miscarriages there is no way of knowing what happened, other than knowing that you did nothing wrong.

I am so sorry for your loss! I also lost my baby at 11 and a half weeks. I started bleeding at around 9 weeks, went for ultrasounds and the baby was fine. I then had another ultrasound and the same day my little guy passed away. It is hard to go through, but time does heal it a bit. Im finding it rather difficult lately with the due date approaching ( i was due November 30th). Don't worry about your period just yet, it's normal for it not to come back right away. Try not to blame yourself for it, since it probably was not your fault at all. I think that all the time since I don't smoke or drink, why me?? Cry all you want, I did and still do when it hurts emotionally. You are in my prayers and hope that you are feeling somewhat better. If you need anyone to talk to, just message me :)

I am so sorry for you loss.I had a miscarriage almost two years ago. I still think of my angel and cry sometimes. Don't blame yourself....Even if we do everything right sometimes God has another plan for our angels. Usually your period comes back after 6 or 8 weeks I think. My thoughts are with you during this hard time.

Im so sorry to hear that. I had 2 miscarriages, my first one I went to the Dr. for my first Check up I was 3 months pregnant. They did a sonogram and the baby had stopped growing probaby at 1 1/2 months it was so horrible. I had another one a few months later I was 8 weeks. That one was just as hard as the first one. I now have a 1 1/2 year old little girl, that I thought I would never have. I worried so much during my pregnancy with here that something was going to happen. I cried for a long time after mine its your way of dealing with it. I hated seeing babies and seeing pregnant women. Miscarriages are so hard, they take a while to get over. Hope things go well for you!!!
