One of the most commonly used essential oils is Lavender. It has calming properties, that can help you sleep (some people spritz it on their linens or drop it into their bath) or it can also help take away the itching and swelling from a bug bite/sting. I've even used it to help calm down a sunburn! This is a great oil to start using, if you've never tried using essential oils before!
