My church is having a "Fancy Cake" fundraiser. Where people bake or decorate a fancy cake and the sell for $20. Last year I made a basket cake and filled it with flowers. I need some ideas on what to make this year.

I once made a "hat cake" for a friend's birthday. It's like a fancy hat that you would wear to church or to a fancy tea party. Just make a round layer cake, frost it as smooth as you can. Place some white or colored lace or ruffled edging arounf the cake for the brim of the hat and decorate with ribbons and/or flowers. Very simple to make, and very cute! Good Luck!

I once made a chocolate cake with Chocolate Covered Strawberries on top and made the side look like a basket. It was very pretty and delicious! Good luck.
