OMG When I was younger those books were my favorite series! Believe it or not, I am 29 years old and I read this series when I was like 14 years old! I was super excited to learn that they were FINALLY making them into this tv series! Having read the books many times, I have to say the tv series is quite a bit different! They both have the same underlying plot but alot of the things they have happen in the tv show doesn't happen in the books. I love the tv show though too!

i tried watching vampire diaries, and i couldnt get into it. all i could see was the main guy and think "man, he looks like pattinson if he was smacked a few times in the face with a shovel" and how much they shamelessly tried to find an Edward look-alike and wrote the character to be an Edward rip-off (sorry!). the only saving grace i can see is that his brother is hot.

i havent read the books tho. maybe reading the books would get me more into it, i dunno. theyre always checked out of the local library. i like Twilight better.

I haven't remembered to watch the show but the books are good, at least what I've had time to read of them lol...I think it's interesting that people think it's similar to Twilight since Vampire Diaries came out first :) But I do loove Twilight too. lol Can't wait to see Eclipse!

I watch them with my daughter! We love them. I have read the books and they are totally different from the show. I have just finished reading "Fallen Angel" (the show advertised it one night) its pretty good.

I LOVE the vampire diaries to.it is so good.it's like my fav show on tv.its up there with twilight.but it is alittle different then twilight.but i like that.i dont like shows or books that basicelly copy eachther

Yes I watch the show and I like it to. It is similar to Twilight. But I have to say that I like twilight better. I have not read the books either. I have read some other books after I read Twilight and I liked them I am on the 3rd one but it has not come out yet. I will have to look and tell you what the name of the books are and I will let you all know in case you want to read them. My friends borrowed the books.

i love love that show! yes it is very different from the books, it kindof has somewhat of the same story line going but they add so much stuff and theres a few things they didnt put it the show. but the books are great!

I do watched the show..its the closest I can get until NEW MOON start this NOvemver. The story line is pretty cool. however I did missed it last Thursday Episode..I too, didn't read the book.
