When my wisdom teeth started to come through, my dentist took some of my molars ( 6 - 4 top ones, 2 bottom) out to make room for them as I have a small mouth. Turns out I should have had 2 more out on the bottom as my wisdoms are now crushing and breaking them. I went to the dentist 2 months ago and she said I needed surgery to get 2 of my teeth out and she's had to fill a tooth that keeps breaking. The hospital has lost all of my notes and x-rays and claims I've not been refered to them! Now I'm on antibiotics for the third time in 2 months, for an infection under one of the teeth due to come out. I'm in pain with it so I'm on painkillers and the filling on the other side has come out! I can't chew - eating hurts sooo much. Currently living on soup and tea......

They took the molars out in the hope that my wisdoms would slide forward to fill the gap - they did, but my mouth is tiny and they didn't take enough teeth out on the bottom for it to work properly. The roots of the teeth they want to take are too close to the main nerve in the jaw for my dentist to do it under local, so I've got to wait for the hospital to get it's thumb out of it's butt and knock me out for it.Going on Thursday for the other side done as that's a smaller job. Today, I will be mostly eating....rice pudding :)

That really stinks, why didn't they just take your wisdom teeth out? Can you eat baby food, I remember when I would get my braces tightened people recommended that to me.
