the twos and threes were great. Even fours weren't bad, Fives and sixes sucked! Thats when they start school and pick up nasty habits from other people's children. lol

I know how u feel. i got some bad news. 3's are worse. I hate 2's but people said oh wait until he hits 3 ur think 2 was easy. but i guess just like every age it comes with good and the bad. good luck hope u make it throught the year of 2's.

They call it 'terrible twos' cuz it lasts 'about' 2 years. At least that's what we determined when the girls were toddlers. Started around 18 months and by 3.5... SOME sanity was returning to our lives. Of course, that's when they start picking up the atttitudes from their friends at school.... I'm still waiting for THAT one to stop. ;)

You want 'fun'? Twin pre-pre-teen beginning puberty girls AND a 3 year old boy. Yeah, it's a riot.....

That's exactly how mine is Lisa. How can you put stuff out of their reach if they can climb to the top of the fridge. He can get safety locks off of the doors. And he always waits until I'm breastfeeding the baby to really get into trouble because he knows I can't get up as easily.

Three and four were bad for us too, Kate. Five seems to be settling down (a bit). I can't dump it all on her though, considering our background, she probably deserved letting it all hang loose through three and four.

Right now two for us is an eight-legged spider monkey on caffiene. Not bad, just sheesh- how can a 38 inch little person make it to the top of the fridge, and only need 10 hours of sleep a day?

16 months. He goes down for a nap at 12 until 130 but wakes up at 645 and by 9 his eyes are red, he's rubbing them and he just lies in there babbling and starts screeching and won't let me pat him to sleep or anything then he's irritable the whole morning then finally goes to bed at 12. If I miss 12 though he won't nap at all it's so frustrating I'm hoping it's just a phase or because my mother in law is here.

She still naps for 2hrs a day now! It is my saving grace. This kid will be napping until kindergarten if I have my way.

There have definitely been stages where it has been a mission to get her to go down though. I just rode it out and after a few weeks she would revert back to her normal (good) sleeping habits.

Maybe you need to change his nap time? If he's resisting, he may just not be tired at that time anymore. Try pushing it back a bit and see what happens. How old is he?

Did she stop napping? Logan has always just gone to sleep by himself and now suddenly he lies in there babbling and then starts crying and refuses to go to sleep.

Milla's behaviour changed dramatically (for the worse lol) around 14mths. It may have been triggered by those friggin 1yo molars (they are evil), but that is when her tantrums started. She's 27mths now, and the tantrums are not as frequent, but she argues with me like she's 12. This morning she told me to 'stop talking to me, Mummy' (attitude much?). She has also started stomping to her room and slamming the door. Yay for me.

Sometimes I think I might cry when people say 3 is worse.

I think my 1 year old is hitting the terrible 2s early. He's insufferable recently and I don't even know what to do with him he's not interested in anything some days and just whinges, cries, or gets into mischief and doesn't want to play blocks or read a story or go for walks or play outside or play happily in the bath.
